     1.2 Description                                            
       1.2.1 Abstract:
                The index to tiles data set depicts the extents to 
                which data are mapped.  The three extents differentiate 
                between the amount of detail used in the mapping 
                project.  The tiling schemes were generated based on the density 
                of the data.  An index to tiles coverage has been created at two 
                scales; 1:100,000-scale, and 1:25,000-scale (wlsind25).  
       1.2.2 Purpose:
                The index to tiles coverage is used as locational 
                reference on cartographic products such as hardcopy maps or 
                ArcView projects.
       1.2.3 Supplemental Information:
                This data set is provided as an ARC/INFO export file and an 
                ArcView shapefile.

         2.5.3.1 Process Description:
                The index to tiles coverage was created by 
                generating a grid using a cell size of 25,000 by 
                20,000 meters.  The origin of the grid 
                corresponds to the minimum x,y coordinates of the
                atlas mapping area extent.  Cells located outside 
                of the mapping area were removed.
